Lisheen Lower Boulder Burial

Well, it's a new year and my new years resolution, is to keep the blog up to date. So, there's the small matter of catching up to do.
We will start back on February 2nd 2013 with a quick visit to the Boulder Burial at Lisheen Lower. We have been meaning to come here for ages, seeing as it's only round the corner. So a quick visit to Skibbereen market and we are en route to Lisheen. Coming from Skibb direction - turn of at Church Cross - follow the road until you reach the church then it's right and first left and it's in the field on the left immediately after the first house.
There is room to park as you turn into the lane.
.
The Boulder Burial is set a few feet away from the field hedge across the other side of the field and it's a quick squelch across to it. A few Snipe fly up out of the wet grass.
The Capstone is a massive rounded boulder, sitting on three small supporting rocks. It measures 2.6m x 1.5 x 0.9 (NMS). On the historical map it is called Clogh More - Big Stone
